
Brian A. Quan
Brian A. Quan (b. 1996) is a composer, lyricist, and vocalist based in Los Angeles. Brian writes music inspired by traditional and contemporary choral textures, weaving in hints of jazz harmony.

In 2025, his piece "Dreams Carved in Quiet Stars" was awarded first place in the Rachel Moore Choral Project Composition Contest was premiered by The Choral Project directed by Daniel Hughes. In 2024 he premiered "Sin Una Despedida" with the Sunday Night Singers directed by Michael McCullough at the 2024 Western ACDA Conference.

His work has been commissioned by The Sunday Night Singers, Desert Youth Voices, and Garden Grove High School, where he also leads the school’s vocal jazz ensemble and helps guide student vocalists. He performs and writes for several ensembles across Southern California, including The Sunday Night Singers (where he serves as tenor section leader), The Bounce Tribe, and
The Cara Cara Jazz Collective, and performs regularly as a working vocalist in the LA area.

Upcoming Premieres:
Spring 2026 will see the premier of two new choral works which include a collaborative new work titled "Anand Ke Rang Chhaye Re", a choral ode to Indian music, to be premiered by both The Sunday Night Singers and the Palmdale High School Chamber Singers. The piece is co-written with Brian’s wife, Melodie, and best friend, David Deedwania. Additionally, Garden Grove High School Chamber Singers directed by Amanda Mitton, will premiere Brian’s new original work "Las Olas".
